Teach. Inspire. Protect.
Our mission at Campfire Outdoors is to promote the conservation of our wild places by inspiring people to enjoy the outdoors responsibly and supporting programs that teach people how to do so.
When you make a purchase from Campfire Outdoors, you make it possible for us to support programs that educate people and protect the environment. In 2017, we partnered with the Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics. We are proud to say that, with your help, we are continuing our partnership in 2018 and beyond. We will continue to donate a portion of each sale to LNT, and hope to be able to grow our contributions year over year.
We only make products that we would want to have. Our t-shirts are super soft and printed by hand at our workshop in Savannah, Georgia. Our stickers are super tough and won't crack or fade in sunlight. They are weather proof and dishwasher safe, which means you can stick them on anything from your adventuremobile to your favorite camp mug and they will last at least as long as your adventuremobile or your camp mug. In fact, if our stickers wear out before whatever you've stuck them on, we will replace them. That's our guarantee.
Whether it's with friends and family or solo, it's important to get out of our workaday routines and enjoy a world that is greater than ourselves. Only by getting out and enjoying what the outdoors has to offer can we teach people why it must be protected.
We all live in the world together, and together we are the stewards of our natural spaces. By getting outdoors and encouraging others to do so as well, we remind ourselves of our great responsibility to nature and to each other.
A Family Business
David, Kim, and Everett, along with our furry companions (Mr. Hobbes & Maple, aka Lady Mapes) are the creatures behind Campfire Outdoors.
David is an avid outdoorsman, Eagle Scout, and Jack-of-all-trades. He is responsible for the designs, screen printing, packing, and shipping of all our products. If you bought it, then it probably passed through David's hands. David has hiked most of the Appalachian Trail sections in Georgia and North Carolina, but he prefers less crowded places like the Benton MacKaye Trail, the Joyce Kilmer-Slickrock Wilderness, and the Shining Rock Wilderness Area. One time, David shaved his head and grew a beard. It didn't work out so well.
Kim is the heart of Campfire Outdoors. She supports and encourages CO to grow and become everything that it can be. She proofs and either approves or rejects every crazy idea that David comes up with, giving him the hard truth when necessary. By day, Kim is a non-profit professional in Savannah, Georgia, raising money and helping people work toward a better life. David still isn't quite sure how he convinced her to marry him.
Everett is, well, our everything. He's two and three-quarters and curious as can be. He loves visiting his grandparents in the mountains of North Carolina and isn't afraid to pick up bugs with his bare hands.
We did mention that we're a small company, didn't we?
